7 Classes of Teachers

Everyone remembers their school days, right? Whether it’s amazing or awful, we always remember that one teacher that embarrassed you in front of class on the first day of 7th Grade or that one teacher who helped you to be a better person. Either way, just like our parents, our teachers are supposed to guide us and shape us into a good member of society. And whether you loved or loathed them, I’m pretty sure you’ll recognize some of them here.

The Lazy Larry
This is the teacher with a bit of a protruding belly and seems to have his butt glued to the comfortable, plush, office chair as he munches obnoxiously loud on his infinite supply of chips. As you enter class, he tells you to read your textbook and take down “notes” which he will check later; or he will set up a video, that teaches you more about the topic on hand rather than your own teacher, while he dozes off and begins to snore loudly. If there is any confusion about the lesson, you know better than to ask your teacher because he will reiterate the textbook again and it doesn’t answer your question at all. He doesn’t really care and he doesn’t attempt to help his students.

The One-who-Talks-to-the-Board Teacher
Settling her pile of books on the table, she hushes the class before promptly opening her notes to teach the class. That’s the last time you get to see her face for the entirety of the lesson because once she’s into “Lesson Mode”, she forgets the existence of her pupils and just drones on and on about the American Civil War - never turning around once to ask if the students understood the lesson. You, as a student, are just left gaping like a fish and struggling to keep up with the pace of your teacher but you’re not the only one as you swivel your head left and right to see similar expressions on everyone else – except maybe that history nerd that seems to be having a blast.

The Swimming-in-Papers Teacher
The Swimming-in-Papers teacher always seems to carry a thick folder around wherever she goes and is constantly seen with her nose buried deep in them. She often misplaces essays and always forgets to hand back graded assignments. She brings home her skyscraper of papers to check with the intent of grading each and every one of them all while watching Netflix, always coming back to school with her permanent frazzled expression as she gazed at her never-ending pile of work.

The Robot
Growing up as a model student, this teacher does her job exceptionally well. The catch though? It’s all work, work and more work with her – no breaks whatsoever. She takes her profession seriously – too seriously in fact – and you have never seen any emotion on her except to scold you. She always has a straight face on and you wonder if she is actually human and not an artificial intelligence robot instead.

TMI Teacher
Instead of teaching, the TMI Teacher tells the students wayyyyy too much information: Their biggest regrets, their first crush, their life story, you name it. More often than not, the students come out of class knowing more about the teacher than they know of the subject itself. While this behavior stifles a students’ opportunity to learn, the students egg the teacher on and ask unnecessary questions just to keep him going - the more the teacher talks, the lesser work to do.

The Clueless Teacher
Clearly out of his depth, this teacher tries to BS his way through the subject and class. He pretends to know the subject even though he incorrectly teaches you about it and you can obviously see the light sheen of sweat coating his face when you ask a difficult question. His efforts to properly teach the class is glaringly obvious but it just doesn’t work out because everyone knows he’s not a credible teacher and more often than not, you have to rely on yourself to do well in the actual exam.

The “You’ll Thank Me For This in College”
This teacher has an overcomplicated life and makes it his life goal to overcomplicate his students’ life too. He is that person who gives 210% in everything and makes everything harder than it actually is. This teacher is trying to prepare you for university and always claims that you’ll “thank him for this later”, but in reality, they are just presenting extra information and is teaching it in a much more difficult way. Baby steps don’t exist in their world.

Ah, teachers. Sometimes they’re your best friend. Sometimes you just can’t help but hightail the other direction when you see them. Either way, I’m pretty sure we’ve all met that one teacher that has changed our lives for the better forever – and we will always be in debt to them.

What other teachers do you find in school?

Plan for my ICT Game Project

Title: Han- Xiongnu (Mongolia) War
Topic: Han Dynasty versus Xiongnu (Mongolia)

Opening:

While Emperor Wu was ruling, Han Dynasty was doing very well and often had extra money. However, because of the frequent raids at the frontier of the Han Dynasty the previous Emperor decided to maintain peace with Xiongnu. Since Xiongnu didn't want to maintain peace, Emperor Wu had a court conference assembled and spoke his idea of having war. Half of the people wanted war against Xiongnu but the other half didn't want war because they were worried about the financial resources. So, the people who were supporting war managed to persuade majority's opinion. Afterwards, Emperor Wu came up with an idea of luring Junchen Chanyu over with wealth in order to eliminate him and cause political chaos for Xiongnu. Afterwards Emperor Wu launched his military campaigns against Xiongnu in 133 BC...

Ending:

Since Han is obviously stronger than Xiongnu, Han Dynasty won and Xiongnu didn't dare to raid them anymore. They also went to a faraway place so that they can recover and everyone in China celebrated.

Hero: Han Dynasty

Enemy: Xiongnu (Mongolia)

Thrown Item: Sword

How will photoshop help us in the future?

Photoshop will help us in the future because for example, there was a class picture in school and you didn't come because you were sick. You could take your own picture of yourself and the photographer could edit your picture into the class picture by using photoshop. That way it could really look like you were there at the time your classmates took the class picture. Another example is that if someone wants to make a video of someone being sucked into a hurricane, they won't really risk someone's life right? That is when photoshop steps in. Photoshop can also make the person look like he really got sucked into the hurricane when actually he did not.

My iSelectstory Planning

Once upon a time, there was a polar bear named Beary. Beary had already gotten married. He married another polar bear named Cuby. Cuby then gave birth to a son (a mouse). They then decided to name their son Mousey. One day, Beary brought Mousey to the amusement park, but they only could play one ride.

Twist #1:
- play the ferris wheel- Bad (the ferris wheel will suddenly get stuck and they will be stuck there for hours.)
- Play the sea-saw- Bad (the sea-saw will make you have brain damage and you will lose all of your memory because the person playing with you suddenly didn't want to play anymore.)
- Play the train- Bad ( Someone will push you out from the train very hard and you will have to be brought to the hospital)
- Do sight- seeing- Good

After playing in the amusement park, the decided to buy only one souvenir due to the lack of money.

Twist #2:
- buy the flower hairband- Good
- Buy the purple mouse- Bad (because the purple mouse is actually a real dead mouse and they painted it purple. The purple mouse was also very smelly and expensive. They also coundn't get a refund.)
- Buy the yellow rope- bad (because the yellow rope is very rough and will cause a lot of cuts on Mousey.)

After buying the souvenirs they decided to go home. By the time, they arrived home, Cuby had already finished cooking dinner. Then Cuby will ask did you guys get a souvenir for me?

Twist #3:
- Say that you didn't buy anything because Mousey wanted to keep the flower hairband- Bad (because later Cuby will be sad and don't want to talk to Beary and then she will also run away from the house)
- Say that you bought something and ask Mousey if he could give the flower hairband to Cuby- Good

They ate dinner happily and went to bed early because the next day, they were going to do morning exercises. Beary and Cuby woke up at 7:00 am in the morning but Mousey have not waken up yet.

Twist #4:
- Wake up Mousey-Bad (Mousey will start crying and they will cancel their morning exercises just to make him stop crying)
- Don't wake Mousey up -Good

At 10:00 am in the morning Beary and Cuby went home and Mousey already woke up. Mousey then asked, "Where did you guys go?" "Did you guys go and do morning exercises without me?"

Twist #5:
- Say yes- Good
- No- Bad ( because they are lying to Mousey and Mousey will get curious where they went and he will keep on nagging them until they scolded Mousey and then Mousey will start to cry)

"Yay!!! I actually didn't want to do morning exercises anyway because I couldn't sleep until twelve o' clock midnight and if you woke me up just now, I would have kept on crying because I would only have seven hours of sleep. You know, I need ten hours of sleep right?" Mousey said. Beary and Cuby said together, " Yes of course we know you. You are our son." "Now let's go and give you a shower." Cuby said. Mousey then said, "Okay mommy!!!" After taking a shower, they decided to Carrefour because they needed to buy some stuff, but it was closed so they decided to go to the new nearby store. They heard that there was very complete. All of a sudden, Cuby was hungry so she decided to buy some food there.

Twist #6:
- buy a sushi sashimi- Bad ( because they didn't clean the sashimi properly and when you eat it you will die because of the dirty germs)
- buy a chocolate donut- Bad (because the chocolate on the donut is actually soil)
- buy some dumplings- good
- buy a soda- bad ( because when you finish the soda, you will still be hungry)

After buying the dumplings, from the rabbit lady Cuby decided to eat the dumplings. Cuby then met Beary and Mousey and was wondering why Mousey was holding a dog doll. Cuby then asked Beary why Mousey was holding a dog doll and Beary answered that he bought it for Mousey. All of them already was happy with what they wanted so they went home happily.

THE END!!!!

ICT and Science Fair

On April 30th, I had an ICT and Science Fair in school. They called it IWorld. In IWorld, I learned that we can do a lot of things using Mac. My favorite part in IWorld was the "Online Quiz". I did one of the quiz and I got all correct. The part that I don't like is the "3D chess". The "3D chess" just shows the chess game in 3D, and it's so boring. There they also showed the Science experiments by: Grade 8A, 8B and grade 9. They're experiments were so cool. People working in IBox also came to sell Mac laptops, but it seems that nobody bought the Mac laptops. It was so fun in IWorld! ^_^

My Worst Fieldtrip Ever

On March 26,2010, we went to a place called Pasir Mukti. It was the worst fieldtrip ever! It was raining when we went there. Luckily, it stopped very fast. There was a guy who asked us to take out our shoes and socks. So actually he was asking us to be bare foot. The best game was the flying fox and paint ball but all of the other games were all muddy, wet and getting flour all over us. Since it rained, it was very muddy, so our shoes got very muddy. Since we also played in the muddy water, our PE t-shirts got stained with mud. Now my nanny/maid has a hard time washing my PE t-shirt. My nanny/maid also had to wash my shoes because it got very muddy.

The FVR race

Yesterday Ms.Chris told us the winners of the FVR (Free Voluntary Reading) race. I was so happy that I got in to the top three winners. The people who got into the top three are Ayush, me and Matthew. We all got our prizes. I got one lollipop, two snacks, two pens, one highlighter and a correction pen. I was so happy I won because last year I did not win at all. I felt so sad but now I am very happy.

My favorite toy

My favorite toy is my big bouncy ball. I always play with it when I get home. It is colored light blue and it is really bouncy. I like to play and imagine it like a big basketball. I put it in the storage room because the ball is to big. Sometimes I like to roll it up and down the stairs. Sometimes I also like to sit and hug my big bouncy ball. When I am angry, I like to punch my big bouncy ball.
